An extensive array of paper for book making and tools. When looking for paper, head to the back left corner of the store. There you will find a examples of paper on a metal page turner, indicating the drawer number. They have a decent amount of 8x11 handmade paper as well. You will also find pads of mixed media and watercolor paper there, some 2 for 1! They have a fantastic array of markers and pens. In fact, my favorite white pen is located here! It's also a good resources for PVA glue.

Dick Blick is located in the Pearl District with a multitude of paper products and some book binding tools. I order sulphite paper from their website. Unfortunately, they do not sell this versatile paper on site.

Oblation is one of my favorite stationary stores for not only paper, but greeting cards, ephemra (like handmade paper hearts with amazing quotes), and gifts. I don't take my husband into this store. It's my time to wander, feel the paper, imagine using various products, and just buying a card that may never get sent to anyone! They have single pieces of speciality paper I've bought for wedding book projects. Trust me, it's a beautiful adventure!

This store is a gem! Two locations: one on Alberta St. and the other on Division. This is an incredibly unique art and craft store. You will find an array of washi tape like no other store. Pricey, but it's quality. Unfortunately, Michael's Art and Craft went downhill in the washi department. But they're beyond just washi. Such unique gifts, an array of craft projects, art supplies, and some large papers to look through. Also, if you're looking for scrapbook paper, Collage has a lovely selection.

This arts and crafts store has a nice supply of handmade papers in many colors and unique ephemra for adding a little pizazz to your handmade books. Not much in the area of bookmaking supplies, but it is a fun browse.
